About Faith Meltzer – L.O.M., Dipl.A.c, M.Ac

Faith Meltzer, L.O.M., Dipl.A.c, M.Ac

Faith holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. She is a licensed oriental medicine and has passed all board exams and certification criteria by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine  (NCCAOM). Acupuncture licensure in Pennsylvania is regulated by the Pennsylvania Medical Board and Faith has met all criteria outlined in the acupuncture practice act to become a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac).

Faith’s commitment to her continued education is evident by her recent studies in China giving her hands-on experience where Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques were originally implemented. Faith spent the summer studying at the Shanghai University School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where Faith was able to expand her knowledge in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Tuina.

Faith has extensive treatment experience with a broad range of conditions. The style of Acupuncture she practices is Chinese mixed with American Physical Medicine, a form of acupuncture that explores the muscular skeletal system in-depth as a way to release areas of pain or tension in the body to heal injuries and restore normal functioning of the body. This blended form of acupuncture is helping redefine the way acupuncturists interact with Western Medical care providers. By borrowing the best treatment modalities from both systems, Faith is able to provide a level of care that may help patients in the treatment of a wide variety of conditions including chronic and acute pain.

In addition to her background as an Acupuncturist, Faith has been a licensed fitness trainer for over 17 years, working with all types of athletes in sport specific training as well as working with those trying to maintain general fitness. Faith’s astounding knowledge of anatomy and physiology, coupled with her interest in pain management and sports medicine has led her to blend acupuncture styles that can best treat chronic and acute pain, and sports injuries.
